Eric Church Kicked From Rascal Flatts Tour

Early in his career, the Chief, Eric Church was kicked from his tour with Rascal Flatts because his music was a little too loud and a little too long. He admits, he pushed the limits of that tour and was embarrassed at getting fired. Church quickly rebounded, though, after getting a phone call from one of his idols, Bob Seger. Bob called him up and told him that he really enjoyed his album and would love to put him on stage with his band. At the time Eric was a new act and his full album was only 40 minutes long. Bob wanted him on stage for at least 45! The “Hell of a View” singer couldn’t believe he went from having to smash his performance from 15 minutes to 45 and it rekindled his faith in live music. Hey, we’re pretty happy too!

Miranda’s Hubby Finally Accepts Country

Miranda Lambert’s new hubby has always been a city boy, growing up and living in New York for most of his life. Now that he is living in the south with the “Settling Down” artist, he is just now, finally, embracing the country side of life. As a matter of fact, he just got his first cowboy hat! Brendan even took to Instagram with the photos, surprising fans everywhere, including Miranda.

Johnny Cash Has His Day

As if any of us need a reason to celebrate the country legend, Johnny Cash… Arkansas just voted, unanimously (92-0), to create a new holiday dubbed, Johnny Cash Day! Every February 26th Johnny Cash Day will be a commemorative day, which may be celebrated with a yearly gubernatorial proclamation and, we’d hope, plenty of Johnny Cash tunes played live throughout the state at various events and celebrations.

Surprise, It’s Blake

When we visit our local watering holes, especially ones owned by famous musicians, we can only hope that they might show up one day. Well, fans got a big surprise at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar in downtown Nashville, and Orlando, before his performance for the ACM awards! He was celebrating the 20th anniversary of his single, “Austin,” and decided to just pop in and say hello before performing the mini concerts for bar goers. Fans unable to attend commented with, “I wish I was there,” and “That never happens when I’m there.” Hey, we feel ya, but it was definitely a night to remember for all those that were in attendance!
