A crash involving over 75 vehicles’ has closed down I-70 both directions at the Eisenhower Tunnel.
Extended closures expected. The Colorado State Patrol is advising drivers to find alternate routes.
Interstate 70 is shut down at Eisenhower Tunnel after a crash involving more than 75 vehicles, according to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office.
Snow fell in the high country early Tuesday morning and had turned to slush by mid afternoon.
Drivers underestimated the wet slushy snow. People are out of practice driving in it.
The slush fills in the tread in your tires and you have no traction left. Be smart. Colorado continues to get snow up until Mother’s Day.
