The Outlets at Castle Rock always have a giant Christmas tree, but this year’s is extra huge… 55 feet tall, that 15 feet taller than the big blue bear at the Colorado Convention Center.
The giant white fir Christmas tree arrived Thursday (Nov. 2nd) on a flatbed truck from Mt. Shasta in northern California.
The Outlets at Castle Rock said it takes more than a week to trim such a large tree. More than 8,000 lights and 5,000 ornaments and bows will be added in preparation for its lighting by Santa.
Said tree lighting event and concert will happen on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 4 p.m. with live music from Radio Band, Jessie Wilson, and Caleb Lee Hutchinson, an appearance by Santa Claus, and fireworks.
The Christmas tree will remain at the Outlets of Castle Rock through the end of the year.
