Colorado lost a bunch of stores and restaurants in 2024 including businesses such as Big Lots and Party City.

The losses continue on in Colorado in 2025 as we will be losing a Kohls and a Macy’s here soon.

Macy’s will be closing its Denver Northfield Stapleton location some time in the first quarter of 2025 and Kohls will be closing their Arapahoe Crossing location in Aurora.

Macy’s announced they’ll be closing 66 stores across the country that were determined to be “underproductive” and will be holding clearance sales in the weeks leading to their closure. You can get a full list of the stores closing by clicking here.

Kohls announced they were closing 27 “underperforming stores” this year and that employees who work at the Arapahoe Crossing location will have the ability to apply for roles at other stores.  For a full list of closing stores: Click here
