Mercedes-Benz Launched A Car Subscription Service For ,095 A Month

Subscription services can make your life so much easier. You’re likely already familiar with the ease of getting wine, beauty products, pet supplies and more delivered to your door each month, but what if this same convenience and variety could be found in the vehicles you drove, too?

That’s exactly what car companies like Mercedes-Benz are exploring.

Mercedes-Benz just launched a subscription service that allows participants to drive different Mercedes-Benz vehicles whenever they want, starting at $1,095 a month.

As of now, the service is only available in Nashville, Tennessee and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but there could be potential for expansion.

“We’re always looking to stay ahead of our customers’ needs and wants, as well as to bring new people to the brand,” Dietmar Exler, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, reportedly said in a statement. “We know there is a market opportunity for people who would like the ability to move in and out of vehicles, depending on what they need or want at a particular point in time, or who don’t want to own a vehicle right now.”

So, if there’s demand for this in other cities, don’t be surprised if Mercedes-Benz opens up the service to those locations, too.

How It Works

Depending on which tier you pay for — Signature, Reserve or Premier — certain vehicles are available to you whenever you need them. All you have to do is schedule pick-ups and drop-offs through the Mercedes-Benz app, and you can swap to suit your driving style as often as you’d like.

The various subscription plans include vehicles such as the C300 sedan, E400 wagon and the G550 SUV.

Other Options

Mercedes-Benz isn’t the first car company to introduce this concept, either, as Ford, GM, Volvo, Porsche and BMW all offer the convenience of car subscriptions as well.
