2020 Denver Metro Out of the Darkness Experience
September 27 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
While the Out of the Darkness Walks in Colorado are going to be different this year, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. Mental Health and suicide prevention are more important than ever. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience. We use our voices and share our stories to provide hope.
Although we are not able to gather thousands of people inside of the Coors Field stadium, we are able to be in the mile-long parking lot outside of the stadium. As a result, we’ve been working hard to transition to the Drive to Fight Suicide Denver Metro Experience where we can still connect with you.
We remain dedicated to providing you with opportunities to connect, heal, share stories, create impact, and show you that you are not alone.
We realize that nothing can substitute the experience of coming together in person, and we need to do that safely. We invite you to drive through the Denver Metro Experience – entirely from your car. Think of it like a lazy river with very short stops along the way to bring donations, pick up a t-shirt (if you raise $150 or more), get memory beads, ‘visit’ the resource, memory, & HOPE notes areas, and get a free ‘Bumper Badge’.
We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow guidelines from local officials. No matter what, the experience will happen whether in-person, in smaller groups, or virtually.
